Salisbury Presbyterian Church is a congregation that cares about people. The mission of the Congregational Care Ministry is to help each member experience the love of Christ within our church family, to feel connected as a church member, and to feel appreciated as a vital part of the body of Christ as it is expressed here at Salisbury Presbyterian. Simply put, it is, "CARING FOR EACH OTHER".

There are many facets of caring via this committee. We urge any member who desires to help with our mission to please contact us. We will gladly match your gifts and talents with our needs. There are many ways that you too can be a part of our "inside outreach." Check out the links below to learn more about how we carry out our commitment to support and care for one another and for information on how to join and/ or to contact us.

THE PRAYER MINISTRY AND WEEKLY PRAYER CONCERNS

Visit our Weekly Prayer Concerns site and/or check out the bulletin board in the Narthex for prayer concerns and letters of gratitude from SPC members. For prayer requests contact Slim Nance (378-3636) or the church office (794-5311).

SUDDEN NEED FOR IMMEDIATE PRAYER in the wake of acute illness, an accident, and/or other pressing concerns? Call our SPC Prayer Chain Captain Martha Gibby (614-6511), or Co-Captain, Scottie Woody (794-4425) to instantly activate the Prayer Chain.

Recognizing the importance of sending notes of encouragement to friends and family who are away from home, the Congregational Care Committee has been compiling names and addresses of military personnel and college students. These addresses are now available on the Congregational Care Bulletin Board in the Narthex.

If you would like to be a praying "link" in our Prayer Chain, please contact Martha Gibby (614-6511), or Scottie Woody (794-4424).

VISITATION/TELECARE

The SPC Visitation/Telecare team enables our homebound members, those who reside in assisted living or nursing facilities, and/or members with special needs to feel connected as church members by experiencing the love of Christ throught lay visits and telephone calls. We are excited about this growing ministry and encourage you to join us!

To express interest, to join the Visitation/Telecare team, and/ or to communicate feedback from a visit or telephone call to one of our members, please contact our Chair and Visitation/ Telecare Coordinator Slim Nance (378-3636)

LOAVES AND FISHES

This program of our Congregational Care Ministry provides meals on short notice for the many emergencies that arise within our growing congregation. Loaves and Fishes relies on volunteers from the church to coordinate and prepare meals. Contact our Loaves and Fishes Coordinator Delora Stites (794-6747).
