JUBILATION is an outreach program of the Music Ministry of Salisbury Presbyterian Church, Midlothian, Virginia.  It is a community choir for adults age 55 and older.  Founded September 2001, the members meet weekly, from September through May, to sing music sacred, secular and patriotic.  Its mission is to spread fellowship and good will through music.

Jubilation has sung for numerous area clubs, assisted living facilities, senior groups and churches in Richmond.  They have taken their “show on the road” via bus to venues in the surrounding area.  In addition, they provide music in worship at SPC in the Fall and the Spring.  Jubilation is ever grateful to the SPC family for all of its support.

On September 29, 2007, Jubilation had the privilege of performing a concert as a part of the 200th birthday celebration at Providence United Methodist Church.  Jubilation also had the honor to be the first featured performer of the St. Matthias Episcopal Fine Arts Series on Sunday, November 18, 2007.

On March 8, 2008, Jubilation, in conjunction with the Salisbury Ringers Adult Handbell Choir, will host the third annual “Sundaes on Saturday” concert at Salisbury Presbyterian Church.  As a way of giving back to the community, the concert is free and, after the concert, all are treated to ice cream sundaes………thus sundaes on Saturday!  Over 300 attended in 2007.  Mark your calendars now!

REHEARSALS

Regular rehearsals are held in the sanctuary on Tuesdays from 10:30-Noon unless otherwise indicated.  Should a change be made, you will be notified.  If you are going to be absent from a rehearsal, please notify Attendance Rep. Mary Ann Eads (272-3673) or Christine Smith (379-0574), as you will be missed.

JUBILATION PERFORMANCE ATTIRE

Please make every effort to dress accordingly, as uniformity is our goal.

Stage Dress:

Ladies:            White long sleeved blouse with collar
                       Red Rosette
                       Navy Blue Skirt or Slacks, Dark Shoes

Gentlemen:      White Dress Shirt, Gray Slacks
                        Navy Jacket, Striped Tie

Casual:

Ladies and Gentlemen:  Royal Blue Embroidered Polo Shirts
                                    Black Slacks

Please refrain from wearing any perfume/cologne/ aftershave during rehearsals and performances.
