"Give to Him freely and unselfishly, and the Lord will bless you in everything you do."
(The above theme from Deuteronomy 15:10 guides our 2008 Stewardship efforts and appeals.)
Click on the "Stewardship Brochure" button in the menu bar above for the 2008 Stewardship Committee's brochure developed for new and existing members. This brochure explains Christian stewardship and how it is manifested at SPC. A sample of the content is included below:
What is Stewardship?
A steward is one who manages or cares for another’s property, finances or affairs. God asks us to be stewards of the talents and resources He provides for our life on Earth. How we manage these gifts is an important part of our life and our relationship with God.
Why is Stewardship important?
As stewards of God’s gifts, we are called upon to invest these gifts so they will return benefits for the owner (read Mathew 25, verses 14-30). If we fail to use our gifts, or we keep these gifts for our own benefit, we ignore the reason God entrusted them to us. God intends that we invest our time, energy, talents, and resources to further His work on Earth. As we know from practical experience, the act of giving to or for others is rewarding in so many ways.
