Class offerings for the 2008-2009 School Year
2 1/2 ’s Program
This program consists of two 2 day classes, giving families the option of enrolling in the M/W class or the T/Th class. Both classes meet from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on their scheduled days. Children in this class must be 2 1/2 years old by September 1st. The student to teacher ratio in this class is 9:2. Children do not need to be potty trained for this class.
3’s Program
This program gives parents the option of enrolling their child in a three day class or a two day class. We offer 2 three day classes giving parents the option to enroll in either the M/W/F class or the T/W/Th class. We have 1 two day class that meets on T/TH. All children in this program must turn three by October 1st of the year enrolled. The three day classes are for older threes and priority is given to children who turn three by July 1st of the year enrolled. The two day class is for younger threes who have just turned three later in the summer or early in the fall. All classes meet from 9:30 to 12:30 on their scheduled days. The student to teacher ratio in each of the 3’s classes is 12:2. Students entering this program must be potty trained.
4 Day Pre-K Program ( 4/5 year olds)
This program consists of 2 four day classes giving parents the option of enrolling in either the M-Th class or the T-FR class. Each class meets from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on its scheduled days and from 9:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Children in this program must be four by October 1st. The student to teacher ratio in each of the pre-k classes is 16:2.
5 Day Junior -K (5 year olds)
This program consists of one 5 day class that meets M-FR from 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. with an extended day on Wednesday until 2:00 p.m.. This class is intended to meet the needs of children who have already turned five over the summer months or who will turn five early in the fall. Children in this class must turn five by December 31st. The child to student ratio in this class is 16:2.
Tuition and Fees
Registration Fee: There is an $80.00 non-refundable registration fee which is due at the time of registration.
Tuition: The first month tuition is due by April 1st and is non-refundable. This payment is used to hold your child’s place. Monthly tuition payments are due by the first day of each month, beginning October 1st and extending through May 1st. Monthly tuition rates are as follows:
2 Day Two 1/2 Year Olds $ 130.00 2 Day Three Year Olds $ 140.00 3 Day Three Year Olds $ 170.00 4 Day Four Year Olds $ 195.00 5 Day Five Year Olds $ 235.00
Activity Fee: An activity fee is collected April 1st. It covers all field trip fees for students and parents as well as on-site programs for the year.
Activity Fees for the 2008-2009 school year are as follows:
2 1/2 year olds-$55.00; 3 year olds-$60.00; 4 year olds-$65.00;
5 year olds-$65.00
Registration Requirements
All children are welcome at Salisbury Preschool. Admission is made without regard to race, creed, or nationality. Children must be toilet trained prior to entering school; the only exception to this is children enrolled in the 2 ½ year old class. Children with special needs are admitted with consideration given to the suitability of the program according to their needs, characteristics and needs of specific age groupings, staff-child ratios, and staff training-experience.
The following paper work must be completed and/or submitted
at the time of registration:
1. Registration Form
2. Registration Fee
3. Copy of the child’s Birth Certificate** (new enrollees)
4. Copy of the child’s Social Security number (new enrollees)
** We must witness your child’s original Birth Certificate. Please bring the original with you to registration. We will make a photo copy of it, document that we have witnessed it and return it to you at registration.
