Church Picnic

Don’t miss the annual church picnic directly after the 11:00 AM service on June 1.  Please be dressed to participate in games and fun.  There will be games/prizes for kids and adults alike.  We will have barbeque from Buzz and Ned’s and all sorts of salads and side dishes.  The cost is $5 for kids; $8 for adults and $20 per family.  We are offering a Sage 60 discount—all attendees over the age of 60 will be charges only $6 as long as they provide their wisdom for free at the picnic.  Tickets may be purchased during your Sunday school class or in the narthex between the services.

Annual Crab

and Seafood Feast

At the home of Fred and Susan Williams on Saturday, June 7 at 3:00 PM.  Tickets  must be purchased in advance in the narthex between services for $20 per person or $35 per couple.  There will be all sorts of seafood cooked to perfection, music and laughter.  Beverages will be served as this is an adult event.  We look forward to seeing everyone there!

Braves Games

June 28 at 7:00 PM

Take me out to the Ballgame! We have reserved seats behind the third base dugout.  Watch for ticket sales in June as the date approaches, but mark your calendars now for this family event which should be a lot of fun for all ages.

Lemonade in the

Garden

During the months of July and August, please hang around after church and enjoy a cold glass of lemonade and cookies along with some good fellowship.

WEB ACCESS

MEMBERS ONLY

Members Access (once established) will give you access to information pertaining to the everyday ministries and private data pertaining to the church that you would not find on the open web site, such as Session minutes, committee minutes, membership directory and online giving.  We have received and recorded 157 sign-ups of our some 560+ SPC households.  If you have already sent your email address, there is no need to send it again.  Also, please note that the Members Only site cannot be activated until a larger percent of our households sign up.  Email   bthomasson@salisburypc.org with your family email address (one per household) and add your name to the list.

Beginning in August, after the minutes for the stated session meeting have been approved, they will be accessible through the “members only” section of the SPC website.

AFTERNOON AND

EVENING CIRCLE

GROUPS

We will join together on Saturday, June 7, at 6:00 PM at the home of Barbara Lucas for our annual pot-luck supper.  We expect to see everyone there!

The annual review of next years study guide on Luke will be Saturday, August 23, at a place to be announced.  Look in your August newsletter for more information.

THANK YOU

Thanks to all the congregation who bought Girl Scout cookies from Troop 268 to send to Iraq!  SPC Robert Thompson (son of Steve and Marti) reports that the cookies arrived at Camp Liberty safely (all 94 boxes of them) and they were passed out to the soldiers in his battery.  Bobby says, “I even managed to get a few boxes of Samoas . . . my favorite!”
